Oregon State to Battle Utah State in First Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl at SoFi Stadium; Teams to Meet Saturday, Dec. 18 at 4:30 PM

INGLEWOOD, CA (December 5, 2021)— Pacific 12 No. 5 team, Oregon State and Mountain West champion Utah State have been selected to meet in the first annual Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl at SoFi Stadium on Saturday, Dec. 18th at 4:30 p.m.

Tickets are priced as low as $32 and can be purchased at www.SoFiStadium.com/LABowl.

The Oregon State Beavers concluded the regular season finishing third in the Pac-12 North with an overall record of 7-5 and a conference record of 5-4. The Beavers managed to keep an undefeated home record this season at 6-0. Under experienced head coach Jonathan Smith, who has held the role since 2018, the Beavers are 3-3 in their last six games.  Sophomore quarterback Chance Nolan finished the regular season with a 149.47 quarterback rating, and he also earned First-Team All-Pac 12 honors for his efforts this year along with senior wide receiver Trevon Bradford. Bradford recorded 40 receptions and five touchdowns.

Another key contributor to Oregon State’s success this season was junior running back B.J. Baylor, who was the Pac-12 leader this season in total yards (1,259) and yards per game (105), while scoring 13 touchdowns. The Beaver defense is highlighted by linebacker Avery Roberts, who has a Pac-12 best 128 tackles to go along with 9.5 tackles for loss. The Beavers also boast a talented special teams’ group, with junior punter Luke Loecher earning All-Pac 12 Second-Team honors.

The Utah State Aggies (10-3) surprised everyone coming off a 1-5 campaign a year ago.  First-year coach Blake Anderson instilled a positive attitude and work ethic. The 10 wins are the most by any first-year coach in the country and it is just the fourth 10-win season in school history.  He won his debut, a first in 48 years for the Aggies, as his team came from a 12-point deficit in the fourth quarter to beat Pac-12 power Washington State, 26-23.  The Aggies are led by quarterback Logan Bonner, the running back duo of Calvin Tyler Jr. and Elelyon Noa, wide receiver Deven Thompkins and linebacker Justin Rice.

“We are thrilled to welcome Oregon State and Utah State to our inaugural bowl game,” said Jason Gannon, executive director, Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl Presented By Stifel. “These two teams will play the first college football game at SoFi Stadium, and we look forward watching this competitive match-up on December 18.”

The Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl Presented By Stifel will also benefit community partners One For All, Boys and Girls Club LA Harbor and Boys and Girls Club LA Metro. The bowl game is committed to working with Inglewood’s One For All to support youth through social programs that emphasize the importance of personal growth and community involvement.  Similarly, Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl will continue to work

with the Boys and Girls Clubs of LA Harbor and LA Metro by helping to end food insecurity in those communities.

Kenny Chesney Gears Up for Here and Now 2022

Newly Announced Stadium Tour Lineup Features Three-Time Consecutive GRAMMY Winners Dan + Shay, Reigning ACM and CMA Vocal Group of the Year Old Dominion & Double Nominee at the Upcoming CMA Awards Carly Pearce

Stadium Tour Presented by Blue Chair Bay Rum and Fueled by MARATHON Stops at SoFi Stadium on July 23 with Five Day ONLY Party Pricing on Select Seats, Nov. 1-5

[EMBED: https://youtu.be/0SutGaZqL70]

Kenny Chesney Returns to the Road with Here And Now 2022

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – “When we realized we weren’t getting to spend 2020 with No Shoes Nation, I never thought it would be three years until I would see my most favorite people in the world,” says eight-time Entertainer of the Year Kenny Chesney ahead of his Here And Now 2022 stadium tour presented by Blue Chair Bay Rum and fueled by MARATHON, set to stop at SoFi Stadium on July 23. All current ticketholders remain in their original seats at the stadium.    “My favorite place in the world is anywhere we all come together. They come strong. They get loud. They love the music. But most importantly, they live life – every second – for all its worth! They inspire me, and I want to get out there and get going, creating the greatest night of the summer every time we hit the stage.

“Putting this line-up together has been awesome,” Chesney continues. “We’ve got Dan + Shay, who continue to set records with their music and have been burning it up on their own headlining tour this year. We have an old favorite, who just keep getting better, Old Dominion – it’s almost like it wouldn’t be a stadium show without them! – and one of my newest friends in Carly Pearce, whose songwriting is so personal to her own life, yet so many people find themselves in her songs.”

Chesney, the only Country artist on Pollstar’s Top Touring Artists of the Decade, wanted to bring the people who come out every summer the very best show possible. It meant a lot of mixing, matching and sorting potential line-ups to arrive at this group that will keep people feeling good and give them several different performances throughout the evening.

Starting with Pearce, a current CMA Female Vocalist and Album of the Year nominee, the show kicks off with a woman who honed her skills as a teen doing five shows a day at Dollywood and has since topped the charts at Country radio. Following Pearce is No Shoes Nation favorites Old Dominion, the reigning four-time ACM and three-time CMA Vocal Group of the Year, as the momentum just keeps building. Rounding out the opening sets are Dan + Shay, the duo who have shattered streaming records and created their own lane of soul meets smooth Country with hits such as “10,000 Hours,” “Speechless” and “Tequila,” as they take their power of positive energy to new levels.

“No matter who you are,” Chesney says, “someone who’s been coming since the very beginning or is curious what the fuss is all about, I wanted to give No Shoes Nation the best lineup of music that’s gonna give them the kind of celebratory night we all deserve after waiting so long.”

To celebrate the news of the Here And Now 2022 lineup, the 19 stadium shows already announced are getting “Five Day Party Pricing,” to honor those fans who normally attend multiple shows each summer with limited discounted tickets at multiple price points igniting the Here And Now 2022 summer. To make it super-easy, no codes, no clubs, no special sign-ups and prices will already reflect any discounts. Just look for the price that fits your party now through Nov. 5.

“Let’s make this simple!” Chesney says. “It’s been a long time. No Shoes Nation moves around, shows up in lots of cities. So, to say thank you for being the most awesome people in the world, I thought this was a way to recognize the people who do more than one or two stadiums each summer!”

Here And Now 2022 presented by Blue Chair Bay Rum and fueled by MARATHON picks up where one of contemporary music’s greatest love affairs left off. Having sold over a million tickets every year since 2002, Chesney is ready to get back out there – and he’s bringing a few of his very best musical friends with him.

Coldplay Announce Music of the Spheres World Tour

On the eve of their new album, Music Of The Spheres, Coldplay have today announced an accompanying global stadium tour in 2022.

The Music Of The Spheres World Tour stops at SoFi Stadium on April 26 and April 30, and supportcomes from H.E.R.  Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, October 22 at 10 am local time via Ticketmaster.com.

The band have already teased that more dates will follow soon.

SUSTAINABILITY PLAN ‘A WORK IN PROGRESS’

SHOW POWERED BY 100% RENEWABLE ENERGY

PLEDGE TO CUT TOUR EMISSIONS BY 50%

ONE TREE PLANTED FOR EVERY TICKET SOLD

In 2019, Coldplay committed to making their future tours as environmentally beneficial as possible, and today’s announcement is accompanied by a comprehensive set of sustainability initiatives and environmental commitments.

Full details can be seen at coldplay.com/sustainability, including commitments to:

  • cut direct emissions by 50% compared to the band’s most recent tour (2016-17).
  • power the show entirely by renewable, super-low emission energy – with solar installations at every venue, waste cooking oil, a kinetic stadium floor and kinetic bikes powered by fans. This power will be stored in the first ever mobile, rechargeable show battery (made from recyclable BMW i3 batteries).
  • draw down significantly more CO2 than the tour produces with a range of nature- and      technology-based solutions, including planting one tree for every ticket sold.
  • provide each venue with a sustainability rider requesting best environmental practices.
  • encourage fans to use low carbon transport to and from shows via the official tour app built by SAP, rewarding those who do with a discount at venues.
  • ensure all merchandise is sustainably and ethically sourced.
  • offer free drinking water and strive to eliminate plastic bottles at every venue.
  • put 10% of all earnings into a fund for environmental and socially-conscious causes, including ClientEarth, One Tree Planted and The Ocean Cleanup.
  • establish a partnership with climate change experts at Imperial College London’s Grantham Institute – Climate Change and the Environment to quantify the impact of the tour – both positively and negatively – on the environment

Coldplay said:

“Playing live and finding connection with people is ultimately why we exist as a band. We’ve been planning this tour for years, and we’re super excited to play songs from across our whole time together.

At the same time, we’re very conscious that the planet is facing a climate crisis. So we’ve spent the last two years consulting with environmental experts to make this tour as sustainable as possible, and, just as importantly, to harness the tour’s potential to push things forward. We won’t get everything right, but we’re committed to doing everything we can and sharing what we learn. It’s a work in progress and we’re really grateful for the help we’ve had so far.

If you’d like to come to a show and sing with us, we’re so excited to see you.”
