An Immersive 80s Movie Mixtape Experience Launching CineVita’s Spring Season at Hollywood Park
For The Record announces Teen Beat Live, a brand new immersive live experience celebrating the era when music became cinema. Built from the songs that defined iconic 1980s movies, Teen Beat Live transforms the soundtrack of a generation into a high energy communal night out staged inside CineVita, Los Angeles’ newest immersive entertainment venue at Hollywood Park next to SoFi Stadium. The production launches April 9 and runs through May 17, opening CineVita’s spring season.
Drawing from music featured in more than 25 beloved films, Teen Beat Live captures the moment when movie soundtracks became the defining soundtrack of growing up. Inspired by classics including Footloose, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Say Anything, Dirty Dancing, Top Gun, Valley Girl, and Back to the Future, the show celebrates the songs that moved from the big screen into everyday life, blasting from car stereos, filling roller rinks and malls, and becoming the backdrop to first love, rebellion, and coming of age moments.
Performed by a dynamic ensemble of singers, musicians, and dancers inside CineVita’s dazzling mirror-lined Spiegeltent, Teen Beat Live brings the fantasy of singing along in front of the mirror to life as a fully immersive theatrical experience. Launching during spring break, prom season, and graduation, the production invites audiences to relive the songs that defined a generation. Tickets go on sale to the general public Thursday, March 5 and are NOW AVAILABLE. Casting will be announced soon.
This spring, CineVita launches its new Artist in Residence program, spotlighting Los Angeles artists creating and performing new work inside the venue. The inaugural artist is Jason McGee & The Choir, the celebrated Los Angeles professional choir known for their powerful contemporary gospel sound and collaborations across music, film, and live performance. As part of the program, Jason McGee & The Choir will perform a special album release concert at CineVita on March 25, a one-night event celebrating the group’s newest music inside the venue’s mirror-lined Spiegeltent.
In addition, For The Record is collaborating with Jason McGee & The Choir to develop a new immersive concert experience titled REVIVAL | The Soul of Cinema. Staged in a revival style setting, the production will explore 100 years of gospel music in film and the powerful influence of gospel music on some of cinema’s most emotional moments. The new show is expected to debut at CineVita in June 2026 following the run of Teen Beat Live, with additional details to be announced soon.
Located steps from SoFi Stadium, CineVita is emerging as a vibrant cultural destination within Hollywood Park, the largest mixed use entertainment district on the West Coast. Housed inside a stunning handcrafted Belgian Spiegeltent, the venue offers a one-of-a-kind setting for live entertainment, private events, brand activations, and corporate gatherings.
Teen Beat Live runs approximately two hours including a 20 minute intermission, with performances scheduled Thursday through Sunday, including evening shows Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 7:00 PM, along with Sunday matinees at 3:00 PM. Food and drink are built into the experience, with CineVita’s bar and concessions designed as part of the night out, reimagining the iconic mall stop for grown-ups with throwback treats and elevated cocktails. Teen Beat Live is recommended for ages eight and up, and the venue is fully ADA accessible.
