Los Angeles Rams and Hollywood Park Host Inglewood High School Versus Long Beach Poly High School’s Friday Night Football Matchup
Hollywood Park and the Los Angeles Rams announced today that Inglewood High School will host Long Beach Poly High School at SoFi Stadium this Friday, September 18. This eagerly anticipated high school football game will see these two teams go head-to-head in what promises to be an epic showdown with high energy and unparalleled school spirit, kicking off at 7 p.m. Tickets to this event will be complimentary thanks to support from the Hollywood Park Foundation and will be distributed through each school.
“Since breaking ground on Hollywood Park right here in Inglewood nearly 10 years ago, we have been committed to using our platform to support our community, elevate those doing the critical work to address our city’s greatest needs, including educators, and celebrate the game of football at all levels,” said Johnathan Franklin, Los Angeles Rams Senior Director of Social Justice and Football Development. “In partnership with the Hollywood Park Foundation, we are thrilled to give Inglewood High School an opportunity to host their Friday night match-up against Long Beach Poly at our world-class stadium, and we look forward to delivering an unforgettable experience for these student-athletes and their fans.”
The event gives these two storied Los Angeles high schools the chance to play on the same field, which will host Super Bowl LXI on Sunday, February 14, 2027.

Long Beach Poly enters the game coming off a loss to Carson High School with a 1-3 overall record, while Inglewood is 3-1 coming off a win against Franklin High School. Long Beach Poly is coached by alumni Travon Petterson, and Inglewood is coached by Mil’Von James.
Earlier on Friday, the Rams will host a pep rally at Inglewood High School featuring a DJ, a performance from the school’s cheer team and band, a question-and-answer session for the students, Rams giveaways, and more.
Both the Rams and Hollywood Park are committed to inspiring student-athletes to excel both on and off the field. This game marks the fourth varsity high school football matchup hosted at SoFi Stadium, building on the success of its Friday Night Lights series, which gave local teams a professional stage and created unforgettable memories for players, families, and fans alike.
